In this blog we will be discussing the productivity app of.... 24me

There are many apps that are used for productivity purposes for all types of tasks. Some apps can help organize project deadlines and allow you to create different material through different tools available. One of the apps that I recently discovered and has been every helpful with everyday tasks is called 24me.

24me's Mission

To boost productivity and make life simpler.

24me follows their mission by relying on the feedback and reviews of their users and making the app better based on those reviews.

Description

24me is a personal assistant that boost your productivity that has your schedule all in one place. It has your calendar, to-do list, notes, and you can link your personal social media accounts. Some of the unique tools that 24me offers are calendar, to-do lists, notes, outlook, micro gifting, smart alerts, conference calls, be there on time notifications, and an assistant on the go. The other unique thing about 24me is that it will sync with all your devices such as your apple watch. I am a big apple watch user so receiving the notifications on my watch will help me stay on task with whatever meeting I have to go to that day or completing a to-do list. Another unique thing that I like about 24me is that you can color code your calendar. The intended audience for this app is for anyone that needs help completing their daily task and just needs an extra hand to remind them. It is also for people who would much rather do everything they need to do in one app instead of having to open three different apps to achieve what 24me can do. The user can create and publish anything that need to do in order to complete their tasks. Users can add meetings, reminders, and conference calls.

Design Review

The design of 24me is very simple, unique, and modern. One of my favorite things about it is that you can turn your mobile device landscape and view your calendar with more details. It will have the weather for each day, tasks, appointments, and if you need to add something you can simply hold down on the screen on the time you want and add an event. You can also change the view mode from viewing it in a list, by 3-days, by day, by week, or by month. If you pay for the app, you can design the background as well as text and fonts of the calendar. I don't notice any obvious limitations. The app does follow good design principles by allowing the user to have access to all the tools in view and making it as simple as possible to add events or reminders. The app does support Universal design principles.

Educational Value

One of the main ways that 24me can be used for learning is by learning time management skills and making sure they stay on task with homework assignments. Someone using this app would learn how to create to-do lists, set reminders, view and create upcoming meetings, view errands they need to run. They would learn how to properly manage their time all in one app. The app follows different theories such as community of practice. If you create an event or meeting, you can share it with other people and invite them as well. It also follows cognitive apprenticeship because it masters the skill of time management.

Conclusion

Overall 24me is a great app that allows you to do in 5-10 different things all in one app instead of having to do those same things in individual different apps. I am a new user of this app but so far it had definitely helped me stay on task with daily reminders and creating to-do lists. I especially love the traffic alert that it sends a right before a meeting is scheduled. I would recommend this app to anyone that loves staying on time for everything and being organized.
